Adamo de Cavalcanti was born to established land-owners in the north of Italy. Rather than follow in his family agrarian roots, the youngest Cavalcanti child applied himself to his studies, eventually earning a place at the University of Bologna's medical school. Though Adamo maintained a respectable educational record, the outbreak of the Great War and Italy's eventual involvement brought his academic endeavors to a grinding halt. Strong-armed into enlisting along with the rest of his fellow students, Adamo was sent to the eastern front under the banner of the Italian 9th Army. It was here that youth experienced all of the horrors of modern combat, and gained a macabre crash-course in field medicine.
Appearance:Adamo has brown-green eyes, light brown hair slicked straight back and trimmed in at the side, and an imperial mustache he grooms every other day. He stands at exactly five feet four inches. In formal settings, Cavalcanti is never without formal military attire, otherwise he prefer simple dress, or will be found doing research in his medical smock. The conventions of his outfits and social mannerisms are aligned with turn-of-the-century/interwar period trends.
