====== Convergence Skills ======

//After departing the Hub World, each of your Tomes begin to gleam and shake before the pages fall open on the familiar entries about Skills gained through the Pears gifted by the Serpent. Under General Skills you notice a new word, glowing as gold as the special Pears you may or may not have consumed. It says **'Convergence'** and reads as follows://

For those of you with the Antique or Whisper Quality who have devoured a golden pear, you have gained access to level one of the following Skill:

===== Storyteller =====

**Lvl 1** A gift with stories has been awoken in you. You can now elicit a strong emotional response with the stories that you tell, no matter their genre. These stories can rouse a crowd and instil them with a sense of purpose. 

**Lvl 2** Your cadence when storytelling can now reach further than ever before, transcending regular limitations. You may choose one story or message to appear in everyone's Tomes. This ability is limited to one use per Uptime or Downtime and mechanically manifests as an @everyone.

**Lvl 3** Performances of stories are now so powerful that you can transport listeners to a scene in that story (up to five at one time). This ability also allows you to understand other characters' true intentions. You can use this ability once per Uptime or Downtime.

For those of you with a Pandemonium, Vanity or Wonder Quality who have devoured a golden pear, you have gained access to level one of the following skill:

===== Author =====

**Lvl 1** Crafting stories is in your blood. Taking existing stories, you can stitch them together and gain information from the newly completed story. For example, you can stitch together The Illiad and Plato's The Republic to gain new insights about mythology or philosophy.

**Lvl 2** Your writing abilities have been honed with practice. You can now write non-sentient objects into existence. There is a small size limit (no bigger than a shoebox). This skill is usable once per Uptime or Downtime.

**Lvl 3** With a flourish of your pen and a perfectly drafted turn-of-phrase you can bring book characters to life. They effectively become new NPCs for the duration of the session or turnsheet period. Usable once per Uptime or Downtime.

Please note that Convergence Skills are more precious and hence more 'expensive' than ordinary Skills. Their cost is as follows:

**Lvl 1 = 2 SP**

**Lvl 2 = 3 SP**

**Lvl 3 = 4 SP (OR can be gained under exceptional circumstances)**
